A new location for Straub's Kailua clinic brings new services and larger facilities while continuing to provide Windward residents with Straub's high quality of personalized care and compassion. Emphasizing "Good Care Close to Home," Straub's family health center can now offer Windward patients with computer-linked access to specialists at Straub Hospital with new digital X-ray services available on site. The clinic will feature new lab and physical therapy facilities at its larger new home designed with patient comfort and convenience in mind.
Patients at the new Kailua clinic will also have the advantages of their doctors able to have quick access to patient medical records. With the clinic to be linked in July to the unique Epic network system that manages computerized information for Hawaii Pacific Health's hospitals, patients will be able to permit doctors to have fast electronic access to results of important medical tests performed at Wilcox, Kapi'olani and Pali Momi, Straub and other affiliated clinics.
"Our new clinic is part of a new model of patient care that uses state-of-the-art technology to manage patient information and allow doctors to focus more on quality patient care. Our goal is to provide a close-to-home and convenient one-stop shop for health care excellence," says Dr. Dale Glenn, head of Straub's department of Family Medicine.
"We provide a full spectrum of family medicine and value the long term relationships we have with our patients that result from continuous and personalized care," says Dr. Marti Taba, who joins Dr. Glenn as one of four family physicians at the Kailua Clinic. The others are Dr. John Aoki and Dr. Susan Christensen. Serving infants to adults, the clinic also provides services in sports medicine, women's health, well-baby and well-child, family planning, ophthalmology, optometry minor surgery and physical therapy.
