Chest Diseases

Straub's pulmonologists diagnose and treat diseases of the chest and lungs with an emphasis on treating asthma, chronic obstructive lung disease and respiratory failure. This department performs computer-based pulmonary physiology studies, bronchoscopies, bronchial provocation testing, treatment of sleep apnea and exercise oxygen desaturation studies. The department also has a complete computer-based pulmonary function lab. Assisting Straub's pulmonologists are the certified respiratory therapists, who work with patients to improve lung functioning through exercises, special medications and use of oxygen equipment.
