If you have an emergency, call 911. Straub's 24-hour, 365-day a year Emergency Department is located on the north side of the hospital fronting Hotel Street. Short term patient parking is available adjacent to the ambulance parking area. Patients arriving at the front of the hospital at 888 South King Street, can proceed directly through the main floor to the emergency room. Valet parking is provided at the front of the hospital during daytime clinic hours. Someone is always available to transport a patient by wheelchair from their car to the Emergency Department. Patients can go to any emergency room in Hawai‘i, but only one is connected to the best hospital, Straub. The independent national hospital rating service HealthGrades.com has rated Straub as #1 in the treatment of Stroke, treatment of Heart Attack, Angioplasty, Heart By-pass surgery and the treatment of respiratory infection.
