Oncology/Hematology

The board-certified physicians in this department evaluate and treat all types of cancer and blood disorders. Utilizing Straub's Outpatient Treatment Center, patients can receive blood transfusions, chemotherapy, nutritional support, antibiotics, and other IV therapy. Straub's Certified Oncology nurses are skilled in providing education and emotional support to patients and their families. The Straub Cancer Center consists of board certified physicians, nurses, registered dietitians, outpatient and inpatient staff, and a quality of life professional. In addition to treatment and therapy, the Straub Cancer Center offers family education and support group sessions to help patients and their families.

New Renovations

We are proud to annouce the opening of our newly renovated cancer center. The original Straub Cancer Center that was previously split between the first and second floors of the Palama Building has now been consolidated to the first floor. Having recently undergone over $2 million in renovations we have expanded the treatment areas to approximately 2,000 square feet with nine new treatment rooms completely refurbished with new equipment, furniture, flat-screen TVs, and adjustable recliners. The cancer center now boasts an improved areas for family and friends with an educational room equiped with a computer and other resources. We are also very proud of the addition of a beautiful new private healing garden.
